Miami, bro has finally had it with Matt Damon fans

Miami, bro has received some unwanted attention lately. I never thought I'd ever think to say these words, but I've had it with Matt Damon's fans. For the record, I am not a fan. Just wanted a jokey photo.

Apparently, if you want people to understand what you're saying, you have SPEAK VERY SLOOOWWWLLY and not use sarcasm or hyperbole. My original story was a little exaggerated, but it's the tale I told, I'm not retelling it, even in my own defense. I just wanted to make one point, if I made as much money as Matt Damon, I wouldn't care if you guys took pictures of me on the toilet.

I really wasn't that worked up over my run in with Matt "who gives a good goddamn" Damon, but I will admit, some of the accusations about my personhood kind of got my goat. Luckily, "my people" are on "my side," supporting the bro.

I am shocked at how people are so willing to defame me (an anonymous woman) while deifying him (a privileged male), both strangers. It's not like I don't know how sexist and classist people can be, it's just surprising how savage they've been here. Let's just call these hypocrites, "people who read People."

I don't put anyone above or below myself. I have talked to numerous celebrities over the years, and this was the worst experience I've ever had, thus the blog. I wasn't trying to get the Matt Damon Fan Club involved. They seemed to think I should call his agent, but then didn't leave a number. I mean, if I were that well-connected, I would have tried to interview Catherine Deneuve or Morrissey, someone who I think actually deserves the attention.

More on this:

Here's Carlos Miller's blog, with all the comments (I was called a "douchebag"by strange, strangers, old guys, 4 times).

Riptide 2.0, one of the Miami New Times' blogs.

This guy wrote a blog about my blog, not quite having the best understanding of what I originally intended. But here's his one cent.

I think you should launch a new blog called Photographing Matt Damon is Not a Crime.

Carlos: you are such and attention whore. Although, I have to admit, it's a catchy title.
:-)

But I can relate to being disappointed in what brings you traffic: on Man or Maniac, the record was made simply by have "fidel" in the title. On South Florida Theatre Scene, the two stories getting comments are the gay actor who called a hate group to get them to picket his show, and the producer who has a history of leaving employees in the lurch. I've posted 25 articles this month: the comments on those two stories alone are up to 56; the other 23 articles have garnered a total of 4 comments. And those are just comments; those two stories are getting WAY more hits than anything else. But, I'm getting WAY more hits, so I'll deal.

When can we start making t-shirts in your defense? FREE MIAMI BRO or something of that nature tal vez.

Take the traffic when it comes because when it dies down, you'll always retain a few readers.

That's my experience anyway.

This whole thing is totally ridiculous. I was there that night, didn't see him, read your blog and obviously thought that Matt is a douche. If you wanna be a pompous asshole go to the forge and have some event thrown in your name but don't go to the white room and get offended when someone wants to take your picture. It's not even about being a celebrity. There's celebrities all over Miami all the time. For pete's sakes this is coming from the guy who hooked up, inpregnated, and married a waitress from crobar. Get the hell out of here. I can't believe it's gotten to this level.

we dont have to be a fan of Matt Damon's to think that was a douchie move! So it's you, Carlos
and a handfull of other nit wits that think you were right versus at least a few hundred from what I've seen on the several blog's it was mentioned?? I am a fan of your's and Carlos, by the way.
I just think it was a douchie move.
he has no right's but you do?
If the guy's that wrote the Constition had any idea what dickhead Papparazzi(or wannabe's) were capable of, they might have thrown in a few restriction's .

Carlos: I feel you, bro.

Eldesaparecido: Bro, for real, bro! I was wondering where you were in all this? I'll be glad to wear such a shirt!

Anon 1: Amen, bro. I didn't even know his wife was a bartender at Crobar! And she's the one that was yelling at me. Wow. Interesting.

Anon 2: Can you seriously change your tune, bro? I just said I'm tired of the names.

This never would have happened with Kevin James.

Whatever.

I would have done exactly the same thing you did. So, good for you for having the balls to ask for a picture.

On an entirely different note, I'm noticing that the "haters" are a motley-spelling bunch.

Of particularly jarring concern for me is the misplaced apostrophe.

"Wannabee's?" "restriction's?" Like nails on a chalkboard.

Raising a hypothetical a constitutional "question" about right to privacy in public vs. free speech, regarding Matt Damon?

I wish it was still 2008. Damongate08 is catchier than Damongate09.

I still can't make the connection between how much money Matt Damon makes a year allows you to be a annoying douche when you see him in public. Your attempt of a picture along with these blog posts are a cry for attention. You got the attention alright, just not the kind you were expecting.

Dear "ballsy" ANON:

Gotta spell it out again?
I f y o u m a k e m o n e y a s a p u b l i c f i g u re, y o u a r e a P U B L I C f i g u r e.

Keep judging, person who wasn't there and is too scared to publicly reveal themselves.

Using your logic: Since you are a public figure on the internet domain I have every right to call you a "douche" whether you like it or not....

EAT said...

Of course. Call me what you will, just don't call me on the phone.

I don't make any money off of this, so I get the hate for free.

I think it would be great to see a Miamibro Matt Damon reconciliation with a bunch of photographers taking pictures of you guys shaking hands and smiling awkwardly.

Sorry SuperBee,
It's been a long time since High School typing class so forgive some of us if we put an apostophe in the wrong place now and then.
I'm not even sure if there is a correct acceptable spelling of wannabe in the dictionary, is there? I'm sure the sicko's that are into child pornography have used the constitution as an excuse to justify the shit they do as well. Only scumbag lawyer's that know how to spell should be allowed to post their opinion's any where on the internet. I'm rolling my eyes now shit head, mind if I leave out the silly :: ::?? By the freakin way, only occupation scummier than Papprazzi? LAWYER!!!
Heres some apostrophe',s for you:
S'uck M'y A'ss zd'ickf'ce!!!'!!!!
